Donald Steel, considered to be one of the very best "natural" golf course architects, created the unique 18-hole, par 72 course in its enthralling setting amidst plum trees, oak woods, lakes and vineyards, around a 16th century chateau.
You start your course among the plum trees, then the oaks before border the vineyards. The greens are quite large, often undulating or with double plateau. It is very hilly and the fairways are wide. Note the hole N°7 bordering the forest, the hole N°9 in slight left dog-leg, very technical, and the hole N° 18 which crosses both the vineyard and the forest of oaks.
