Situate
A 63 exit Biarritz Town centre

Designed and built in 1888 by Tom and Willy Dunn, the 18 hole Biarritz Le Phare golf course is the second oldest course on the continent, after Pau Billere, 100 kilometres east of Biarritz. Situated in the centre of Biarritz, le Phare is one of 10 golf courses in the area within a radius of a half hour's drive.
Due to the course being on the Atlantic coast, the climate is particularly mild during winter and not too hot during summer. Biarritz Le Phare offers excellent playing conditions, superb greens and a very playable course which is open all year round.

The course is flat, quite short but not really easy. The setting is pleasant among the pines, cypress and tamarisks. Note the hole N°4 par 4 of 369m in slight left dog-leg, with a green well-protected by 3 bunkers. Note the holes N°11 and 12 which are known to break your score card.
